AoMO2020 will partner with the Bluecoat: Liverpool’s creative Hub based in a 300 year old building that has housed the arts for over a century and has been at the centre of Liverpool’s artistic resurgence in recent years. The programme offers a range of exciting critical perspectives on this year’s theme of ’Art as Actvism’ from a truly diverse range of practitioners, artists and academics in stunning settings. Hear media sensation artist-activist, broadcaster, performer, TED talker and musical writer Ellie Harrison talk about projects including her new book The Glasgow Effect- Class, Capitalism & Carbon Footprint. Meet singers O’Hooley and Tidow who shot to fame this year one of their songs became the theme of the year’s hottest new TV drama, Gentleman Jack. The chart toppers will reflect on their journey as LGBT partners and artists and give a concert performance before the gala dinner at Port Sunlight’s Art Deco Leverhulme Hotel. Port Sunlight is the home of the Lever Brothers’ Soap Factory that later became global behemoth Unilever. The site is home to more than 900 Grade II listed buildings built as part of Levers’ ’prosperity-sharing’ business model and we will have the opportunity to tour the village including the museum and the Lady Lever Gallery which Lever built for his workers – and to which he donated his large and eclectic art collection. It still has free entry to the public and its Pre-Raphaelite collection is world-class.
We will also have a series of pre- and/or post-conference masterclasses intended to extend your AoMO experience. Follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with what more we have to offer.
The Early Bird Registration offer is open until 01st May 2020 so please book early to take advantage of this discount
